Energy efficiency and sustainable design leader
Actiu has started the U.S. Green Building Council proceedings, to get the LEED certificate for Existing Buildings.
The process for LEED EB Certificate( Existing Building: Operations and maintenance) will provide to the Actiu Corporative Building less environmental impact with the daily water and energy tasks, wastes management, sustainable products purchase and the continuous evaluation and improvement in the inner environmental quality.
After the Actiu opening, and following LEED proposals, new solutions have been incorporated to get a Sustainable Construction in our facilities. The architecture and environmental values have given us international awards, as the Award Bex 2009 in sustainability category or other awards such as Anuaria, Fopa, Construye among others.
This initiative points Actiu as a leader in Spain in this type of certificates for Existing Buildings.
The firm has been the first Spanish company in the sector belonging to the Spain Green Building Council,(SpainGBC-CCVE).
The SpainGBC-CCVE® is the first national association of leading industry companies that works to promote environmental, responsable, profitable and healthy places to live and work buildings. The SpainGBC-CCVE®, is one of the 8 LEED councils in the World and it belongs to the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) which is the founder of this initiative, with around 18.000 companies and construction organizations all around the World. It works to transform the buildings which are already built in sustainable places.
