Often relegated to the background in offices, colour has proven to be a constantly evolving physical, technological, cultural and psychosocial phenomenon and one of the aspects that most affects productivity and people's moods. Already back in 1810, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe laid the foundations with his work the "Theory of Colours", for an approach to colour that was opposite to Newton's and in which he anticipated how colour can impact mood and emotion.
