Mediterranean Essence at Orgatec

October 2018 | News

Design, functionality, innovation and people are to define the office of the future.

An open space, with a Mediterranean essence, with a lot of light, vegetation and meeting areas in the heart of Orgatec. This is Actiu’s proposal at the leading trade fair for work spaces, held every two years in Germany. Spaces designed to promote talent, improve socialisation, ensure concentration and enhance collaboration.

New product releases

The products that Actiu arrived with at Orgatec, in Hall 9.1 – Stand C 049-B048, achieve just this: they combine design, ergonomics and technology to create solutions for each person and work style through the Cool Working ® methodology, developed with the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (IBV) to create spaces that increase productivity by generating wellbeing through four phases that use IOP tools.

Product lines focused on people, on their physical and emotional wellbeing, that allow them to develop their creativity and express all of their talents in custom spaces.

The functionality of Talent, a compact table system for work and training spaces that can be folded, lifted, moved and stacked quickly, efficiently and without the need for an electrical connection;

Whass, a super-stackable chair, versatile and varied that, thanks to its design, can fit into a variety of different spaces;

Noom, the new soft seating system that dresses up meeting and socialisation areas in a personalised way, using an upholstery that combines a tailored design and 3D technology;

Trim, the latest work chair that can be adjusted to any person in an ergonomic way with maximum comfort.

Innovation and future

Through the line of Actiu Next smart furniture, new products are being created that are capable of transmitting data to the user about their behaviour and use, with the aim of improving their experience and contributing to their health and wellbeing. Specifically, the implementation of this technology in furniture provides the user with information regarding factors that could affect them, such as posture, air quality, temperature, humidity, lighting and noise. And it does so with a technological solution based on intelligent IoT sensors integrated into the furniture with data in the Cloud. Actiu Next makes it possible to monitor and collect information about the status and use of the workspace, encouraging the adoption of healthy habits. The Actiu product is paving the way through Smart Furniture, combining technology and domotics to open up new ways of working that evaluate the efficient use of offices, while also providing multiple connectivity solutions.

Then there is technology that is applied to space through virtual reality, a new tool called Actiu 360º Virtual Tour that allows the user to visualise work spaces in an immersive and interactive way. A solution that enriches decision-making and user experience, allowing us to imagine a space, in addition to managing office changes in environments that welcome many people in a way that allows for participation.

Productive innovation and the technical possibilities offered by carbon fibre are reflected in the Karbon, a new design concept that represents a new paradigm in Actiu’s trajectory. A piece with a timeless design, both functional and exclusive, whose design has represented a productive challenge for Actiu and its designers, ITEMdesignworks. A limited-production, collector’s item piece, ultra-lightweight, produced by hand and whose organic volumes take its structure to the limit, with a highly-resistant and durable physique.
