Actiu joins the GBCe, Green Building Council Spain

With firm comittment towards sustainability, Actiu has recently signed a new partnership agreement with GBCe, Building Council for sustainable buildings in Spain and a member of the World Green Building Council (WGBC). Amongst the objectives of the GBCe is the certification for sustainabiliy and environmental quality of the buildings in our country as well as the ongoing cooperation in terms of sustainble buildings with standardization bodies, research centres and institutions and university technology.

Actiu group who base their philosophy on values such as innovation, the people and their integration and rspecthe environment, devote a lot of effort in fotering and promoting sustainabilty. An innate value in the culture of this company that has opted for eco-efficient facilities anticipating time Actiu Technological Park, today is an industrial and sustainable icon.

The company supports actions that reduce the carbon foot print in the production process , that develops with he purchase of materials, in its transport and logistics as well as the sensitivity and mentality of te people. In 2011 Actiu emitted a total of 1688 tons of CO2 and produced a 7.600.000 Kwh of photovoltaic solar energy which represents the prevention of 3.040 tons of CO2, recognizing the committment of Actiu to managing and reducing emissions.
