Actiu opens a new showroom in Australia which will be a networking center for European companies
Actiu has opened in Australia a space of networking where it offers an exhibition space of all its products, and shows the values of the company. The showroom is designed to be used as a link to European companies and industries who want to explore new commercial networks in the Asia – Pacific area. Thus, Actiu puts at other companies’ disposal its networking center as a place of meeting, so that they can organize their own events of promotion and business meetings.
With the opening of this space, Actiu has made a huge commitment to the future of the Asian region. Vicente Berbegal, president and founder explains, "when we decided, several years ago that we were not going to manufacture in China, as we were relying on our territory, we also made clear that our objective was to sell our product in that part of the world." the new Actiu Sydney Showroom marks the entry into a country with enormous commercial potential and furthermore, consolidates the business strategy in the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.
The new space has a surface area of 290 m2 and is situated in Pyrmont, Sydney. At the inauguration 120 guests were invited mostly from the world of prescription (architects, designers, facility management...) Actiu also received the support and presence of different Spanish institutions with headquarters in Sydney, such as the Spanish Commissioner for Trade, Christina Teijelo and the president of the Chamber of Commerce for Spain, Lillian Ajuria.
Actiu's commitment towards the environment, through its integration of policies and initiatives on sustainable manufacturing and the obtainment of LEED Gold, which guarantees its commitment to design, winner of several international awards such as The Red Dot Awards for best product design, acts as a sufficient guarantee for the Australian market to welcome the products presented by Actiu.
Actiu demonstrates that sustainability and business are not only compatible but furthermore, profitable. Amongst the products on display, we should highlight the desk program Mobility, as well as, the concept of training spaces formed by using Mit and Uka chairs, Informa customer service counter and Audit seating, commended by the participants.
As a touch of colour, all the participants were able to taste Spanish tapas, paella and Rioja wine, typical Spanish cuisine offered by Actiu for the occasion.
