Actiu dresses up to parade in the First Alicante Fashion Week

OCTOBER 2015 | 2 minutes

Alicante held its first fashion week, Alicante Fashion Week, an event organised by Lalumier Events & Com and supported by the town hall and the council of Alicante. For four days, 8 to 11 October, it deployed an attractive program of activities related to fashion, design, photography, illustration, music and gastronomy. Of course, it also brought together the most outstanding designers, Nobel Prize winners, journalists, specialised bloggers and celebrities.

Actiu was the company responsible for furnishing each one of the environments of this fashion platform held in the auditorium in Alicante (ADDA). The latest trends and proposals in office furniture were paraded along with the elegant models. The Plek chairs and the awarded Wing chairs were located on both sides of the catwalk to accommodate four thousand people who gathered around the different parades.

The imposing Badminton armchairs presided over the communication and photocall area, from where the specialised media, who were accredited to cover this event, conducted the interviews. The Longo program deployed all its attractions and possibilities, offering, in a single product, both a place of rest in the comfortable seats, as well as, work, using the innovative tables together in the same structure.

The event aspires to become one of the most important fashion weeks in Spain, only behind Madrid or Barcelona. In its favour, it has emerging and consolidating talent from its designers, experience and tradition from a powerful textile and footwear industry and its valuable location on the map.

The work of the national and international creators have become more visible than ever in the different scenarios of the ADDA through the parades, conferences or pop-up stores. For four days Alicante has been a unique enclave at the forefront of fashion; a strategic eye for developing fashion. The organisation has expressed its satisfaction at fulfilling its main aims such as moving current fashion, the trends of more cosmopolitan design and the most representative brands to the amateur and the connoisseurs public closer, by engaging the most remarkable professionals and others who are fighting for a place in it.
