Actiu London Showroom. Art and Architecture in its purest form

Actiu London Showroom. Art and Architecture in its purest form

OCTOBER 2013 | 2 minutes

Actiu London Showroom, located in Clerkenwell, has been transformed  over the last few days into a singular Art gallery where you can contemplate artistic work by architects and designers, presented along side avant guard office furniture by Actiu.

Design, Art and Architecture is the name of our sample that brings together more than a dozen professionals related to Design and Architecture and direct links to Art.

Visitors can admire works covering a wide range of artistic specialities such as painting, photograpy, drawing, mixed media, recycled art and sculpture. Their authors, architects and designers such as Inés Blasco Marzal, from Michael O’Sullivan Architects; Luis Velasco, Filip Czernik and Kohei Matsuya from A&Q Partnership; Jose Luis Roji and Luca Mantovanelli from Squire and Partners; Leticia Toja Bilbao, from Inskip and Jennkins; Nerea Bermejo from HTA Design LLP; Fernando Collado, from Hillfield Academy; James Dunne, Louise Bailey and Paul Klug from Design Squared, amongst others, have loaned their creations for the event.

The participants of different nationalities have a common reference: they have lived and developed their career in London. The result of their overwhelming creativity together, is a stunning mural of ephemera Art in the picture windows which access the showroom which will only be visible during the days of the sample.

Furthermore, all the participants were able to prove they were there by drawing on a large canvas, located on an easel by the entrance to the precinct. The spontaneity turned out to be a good companion to the other numerous small pieces of Art.

Through the London Showroom and in collaboration with the London based Architecture firm, A&Q Partnership, Actiu is once again looking to promote Architecture and Design, this time the star being artistic expression in its purest form.
