Actiu will get the certificate LEED EB in 2011

The corporative building of Actiu Technological Park is close to obtaining the certificate LEED-EB Gold. Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a system of classifying green buildings establishing a standard of voluntary and private categorization developed by the U S Building council.  Promoting the global adoption of practices of the development of ecological and sustainable construction, with tools and performance criteria universally understandable and accepted.

To get this well know International  prestige certificate Actiu worked with CBRE, Richard Ellis, an American consulting firm specialized and certified to handle the certification process of LEED, that evaluates 6 set categories: Sustainable Location, Use of water, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Interior Environmental Quality and Innovation and Design. Sustainability is our understanding of industrial activity and therefore our Technological Park Facilities Actiu, respects the territory, and is kind to the people that work in them and efficient in the use of natural resources. The project considered unique in Spain will be exposed as a case of industrial and sustainable success in one of the most important congresses at International level, GREENBUILD International Conference and Exhibition 2011, the event which will take place from 4-7 October 2011 in Toronto, Canada.
