Actiu participates in the fiftieth anniversary of CASA DECOR

The most important exhibition in Spain, Casa Decor, of interior designs and lifestyles, celebrates half a century from 30 April to 7 June in Madrid with a great event for the senses where taste meets style of decorators and the most important interior designers in the country. For the first time in fifty years, Actiu will form part of this show with a very special space equipped with the most innovative furniture that combines innovative design with the wellbeing of the user.

Casa Decor is without doubt an absolute must in Spain for all lovers of decoration, architecture and interior design. This travelling exhibition is held every year in an emblematic building located in a major city in the country and in which, for six weeks, several decorators are invited to intervene holistically.

This edition takes place takes place on 10, La Palma street located in the district of Malasaña, a place that was, in its origin, The Royal Wax Factory, built by Carlos III in 1788. From the original building there is only its facade which remains intact, its neoclassical style, and some interior elements. The building, which is currently empty, has a total of 2,600 m2 spread over five floors, a basement car park and a large central courtyard with a skylight that starts from the first to the fourth floor.

Actiu furniture is present at Casa Decor in the conference and presentations area, located on the ground floor. A space designed by the architect Andrés de la Torre and the interior designers Rebeca Cano and Beatriz Peral, decorators from Estudio RB interior, intended for presentations and events at Casa Decor. For the occasion, Actiu has given three of its most acclaimed developments in the latest fairs where they were presented: WING, the chair designed by Ramos & Bassols and awarded so far with a Red Dot Award and iF Design, two of the most internationally prestigious awards in product design; BADMINTON, the armchair designed by ITEM Designwork which represents the big commitment towards sophistication expressed in a bucket seat with a completely innovative design; CRON and the directional operational chair by Alegre Design.
