Outdoors, indoors or vice versa. Among rice fields, on the dunes or inside a hotel or café. Different spaces become the backdrop to the endless number of day-to-day activities that are carried out.
What's more, in these spaces, a chair or a table is much more than just a piece of furniture. They are the pigments that make up a canvas and the ingredients that add flavour to a delicious meal. Knowing how to choose and combine these elements, on account of their role and the level of comfort they offer, as well as their colours and textures, makes it possible to create spaces for living, relaxing, dining and working. Or perhaps all of them at the same time.
INOUT is Actiu's new contract concept, in collaboration with SINMAS studio, in which the furniture opens the door to endless possibilities, because spaces have long ceased to play a single role. Lifestyles and work styles evolve, technologies create new possibilities, new uses emerge and spaces must keep up with the times.
Unrivalled spaces along the Mediterranean coast of Valencia, that have surrounded Actiu for more than 50 years, serve as a framework to create unique environments through furniture. Inspiring spaces, associated with a unique lifestyle. A connection with nature that can be perfectly recreated in indoor environments, thanks to the furniture's tones and finishes.
Whether rooms, dining areas, meeting areas, shops, communal areas or transit areas, versatility is the key to space design, whether indoors or outdoors. People with different needs should feel welcome in transversal contract environments and find the solutions they require at any time of the day.
To facilitate accommodation, Actiu's INOUT concept proposes design spaces equipped with furniture that respond to the co-living concept, through ranges such as Prisma, Cron or Noom, combined with 360° screens to separate environments. It also offers soft-seating collections to provide comfort while fostering socialisation in communal areas with Bend and Badminton, while for catering environments, Wing, Longo, Tabula and Noom 50 come together to offer subtle and functional solutions.
As for hotels, the new uses that have emerged coexist with the tranquility that guests expect. A haven of peace and a home from home that allows you to reconnect with yourself, with all the comforts you could need to relish the serenity. A serenity that is key to relaxing, but also key to working in the best conditions or to spurring an invigorating conversation that inspires ideas for new projects. All these uses must have a place in hotels, and Actiu provides the resources to do so.
This new functionality goes beyond specific trends and seasons. It ties in with the Workspitality concept, a new way of working for the hotel industry that connects the local community and guests in a productive and pleasant atmosphere where work and leisure can come together.
This trend, which has caught on over the last year, implies the adaptation and modernisation of hotel communal areas and even setting up special co-working spaces, capable of breathing life into hotels all year round. Hotels become spaces that are linked to their community, capable of adapting to the changing needs of their guests while providing endless possibilities in indoor and outdoor environments alike.
