The Cool Working® experience by Actiu materialises at Habitat in Valencia

FEBRUARY 2016 | 3 minutes

Actiu, ended the latest edition of the Habitat trade fair in Valencia with a very positive outlook, marked by the resurge of the national market, as well as by the visits of specialised prescribers, both interior designers and architects, with interesting international projects underway.

The Actiu ‘Cool Working’ stand, developed by the Valencian design studio, Odosdesign, was a  space which was created to showcase the latest programs, designed to promote well-being and comfort in any workspace. Located at one of the main entrances Area D at the Habitat trade fair in Valencia, it was divided into different spaces which invited visitors to interact with furniture, using it to hold informal meetings, to rest or to sit down in and work.

From the warm and welcoming tones, the main programs of the company were exhibited stimulating real life workspaces. The first area consisted of three Badminton armchairs, designed by ITEM Designworks studio, which received visitors into the waiting area, perfect for chatting, reading or relaxing.

The Shey soft seating program has also created a neat corner which, due to its multi-functionality, can be found in any space: from an office, an airport, a waiting room or a university. Always maintaining comfort and elegance which differentiates this program designed by Ramos & Bassols.

The Nordic style desk Prisma, accompanied by the award winning Wing chair made up the space more oriented to collaborative work or meeting points. Prisma, a design by Sylvain Carlet & Isern Serra was presented in the colour of wood, accompanied by Wing chairs in light colours and with upholstered seats. A combination that was highlighted with props on the table, which was also created by the Valencian design studio Odosdesign.

The Longo program, perfect for fusing office soft seating spaces, showed us how to add colour to a workspace by using a bold upholstery, in this case in yellow. Combined with the executive Cron chair, designed by Alegre Design, it created an elegant and striking area, perfectly adjustable to any space.

Also the modular system for creating and configuring Link spaces showed individual operative workstations and meeting areas generating spaces for concentration and privacy thanks to the design of this product devised by ITEM Designworks.

But without doubt, the product which has made sense of Actiu ‘Cool Working’ was the latest development from the company: the TNK Flex chair, designed by Alegre Design and destined to provide maximum comfort and ergonomics to the user. A product that represents a qualitative leap in the design of managerial and office chairs. This is a design that intuitively anticipates the user's needs, adapting to the shape and movements of the human body and adjusting the back and seat as if it were a second skin. A product which surprised everybody with its high adaptive technological qualities and was liked very much by all visitors.

Ágora Nude: the auditorium equipped by Actiu

As well as the furniture exhibited at the company stand, other areas at the Habitat trade fair in Valencia were equipped with Actiu furniture. An example being the central auditorium at Área Nude, located at the main entrance of the pavilion. The Wing chair, designed by Ramos & Bassols, welcomed the attendees who came to the trade fair to listen to the dozens of speakers from Ágora Nude. On the stage, three imposing Badminton armchairs welcomed the speakers.

Round table “New ways to feel and experiment spaces”

The Habitat trade fair was also the ideal place to continue working, from cultural content, the importance of design to create spaces that inspire, that are comfortable, in which the user feels good and therefore increases their productive or creative capacity, amongst others. For this, the company from Alicante organised a round table "New ways of feeling and experiencing space", a relaxed talk between five professionals from the world of design, interior design and architecture.

Finally, the Habitat trade fair in Valencia was a fundamental meeting point between international prescribers, customers, contacts and the general public in a year of change for Actiu, where they are planning to expand their offers from a more general concept that implies the total creation of space, taking into account issues such as happiness, well-being and the comfort of the people who are going to inhabit it.
