Global Design & Innovation Trends Unit

Marisa Santamaría is a researcher, journalist and communicator specialising in global trends in design, architecture and cultural movements. Through her freelance work, she analyses developments in residential, corporate and hospitality environments, incorporating perspectives on social transformation, technology and human behaviour.

Her cross-disciplinary methodology combines sociological research, analysis of macro-trends and international outreach. Convinced that spaces influence the mind and well-being, she argues that design must go beyond aesthetics and respond to today’s genuine human and environmental needs.

Specialising in strategic consultancy and the management of complex projects, she directs the Atlas of Design Culture in Spain and is Brand Ambassador for Maison & Objet Paris and Paris Design Week. She also teaches and conducts research at prestigious institutions such as Poli.Design-Politecnico di Milano, ETSAM Madrid and IE University, participating in global initiatives to connect creative talent with society.

She has been writing for twenty years in various design and architecture publications, including El País, ICON Design and AD. She currently writes a monthly opinion column on the evolution of design for the print magazine ELLE Decoration and the Italian magazine IFDM, Interiors and Furniture Design Magazine. She curates design exhibitions in Spain and Italy.

Her work connects our brand with Europe. She manages direct relations with the press to secure coverage of our projects in international media. She also acts as a liaison with artists and designers across the continent to foster new collaborations. Her role is clear: to open doors. This network of contacts ensures our solutions reach European architects, interior designers and facility managers directly.
