Target

Studio Amati S.r.l, a historic engineering and architecture firm in Rome, led by architects and partners, Giuseppe Losurdo, Romina Sambucci and Francesco Abbati, has left its historic headquarters in the Parioli district of Rome to move to a new space in the southern quadrant of the capital. A space of approximately 600 m2, divided into 4 diaphanous areas and in whose equipment Actiu has participated together with its partner, Audia Italia.

Currently involved in projects and works of high technological content and with a philosophy that combines the commitment and professionalism of a young and multifaceted team, Studio Amati had experienced significant growth in recent years for which its old headquarters was not prepared. After starting the search process for a new space in 2022, the team found a suitable location in 2023 in a growing neighbourhood undergoing a process of urban redevelopment.

This was the start of the design phase of a new headquarters that was to maximise the quality and experience of those who work in and visit the company.

Solution

In February 2024, NEXT-A Amati NextArchitecture is born, a space designed for architects based on the principles of flexibility, productivity, sustainability and employee wellbeing. The design focuses on acoustic comfort and sustainability, with sound-absorbing acoustic islands and recyclable flooring. Vegetation in the space improves acoustics and worker wellbeing, reducing stress and increasing productivity. In addition, the lighting system adjusts automatically to ensure visual comfort, respecting current regulations and the needs of users.

The operating stations, separated for organisational and acoustic reasons, allow for constant collaboration, while the closed modules are intended for specific activities. The furniture, faithful to the principles of sustainable economy, includes Prisma tables with Bucks drawer units, Trim chairs and Bend benches. Height-adjustable tables and stools have also been incorporated to promote correct posture and reduce sedentary lifestyles, increasing productivity and work performance.
