Conventional offices are no longer the only place to work. Since the introduction of open-plan spaces, which years ago challenged a model hitherto accepted by all, work environments have not stopped evolving, always in favour of the well-being and comfort of those who use them. Much more than offices, open spaces, lounge areas or meeting rooms, these places are about collaboration, well-being, technology, inspiration and productivity, demonstrating that there is little point in changing spaces if the way they are used is not changed.

Places for collaboration, well-being, technology, inspiration and productivity.

Alongside conventional offices, cafeterias, waiting rooms, libraries or co-working centres are already some of the places that many people use to work. So-called third spaces combine the cosy atmosphere of home or first space with the productivity of the office or second space and, although originally aimed at freelancers, they are now an essential part of the philosophy of many companies. Some of them incorporate in their facilities the so-called Coffice (Cafeteria + Office) or Work Café, which in addition to fostering collaboration and the feeling of belonging to the company, offer an alternative to the traditional cafeterias to which until now workers 'escaped' when they wanted to disconnect from the work environment for a moment.

Conceived as small co-working spaces within a company and equipped with the most advanced technology and various types of spaces, Work Cafés offer a hub for exchanging ideas and collaboration. Taking the best of open space, which introduced teamwork and collaboration within the company itself, and co-working as a fundamental turning point in freelance work, the Coffice represents a change in business culture.

Work Cafés: spaces with advanced technology and a co-working design that transform collaboration and business culture.

In an increasingly digital world, where nomadic and freelance workers and co-working spaces proliferate, Work Cafés materialise the need for companies to stay connected. It is no longer just a question of creating work and relationship spaces between employees of the organisation itself, but also of seeking synergies and external collaborations, as is already the case in co-working spaces.

From the most creative and innovative sectors to others that are a priori more 'rigid' and conventional, many are already incorporating this type of space in their facilities. Warm and welcoming environments where employees feel at home, and which now go a step further by opening their doors to external workers and freelancers, building a place to connect where they can hold informal meetings or even organise presentations and courses.

Stimulating and relaxing, technological and intimate, open and private, the Coffice combines different types of environments to meet a wide range of needs. Private rooms, open spaces, areas to work standing up or sitting down, lounge rooms, etc., all of them offer a unique experience that goes far beyond the space itself. Places that, much more than accumulators of tasks and people, already function as meeting points, creativity and talent, and where aspects such as furniture, technology, lighting, materials, biophilia or art play a fundamental role. As a generator of spaces, furniture is increasingly versatile, allowing it to respond to the needs and moods of its users depending on the time of day or the task to be carried out.

Third spaces: where home and office merge to transform the way we work.

Soft-seating, until now more associated with spaces for relaxation and rest within the offices themselves, takes on a key role in Work Cafés. Through carefully chosen materials, colours and textures, solutions such as Bend or Longo help to build welcoming and serene environments to work, hold meetings or rest. With different models of chairs, tiered seating and stools, together with the new Noom 50 upholstered confidant chair that joins the programme, Noom also provides comfortable solutions for every moment of the day in these new environments with the aim of generating well-being throughout the working day.
