Creativity, innovation and European design have found their place at Neocon with the help of Actiu, at the most important trade fair for the design sector in the United States. Here, they have exhibited for the first time at this event (mainly) reserved for North American brands and where few European firms dare to invest. It was also the international showcase to launch "Actiu Unlimited", the company's new brand that encompasses products of high innovation and design, such as the Karbon chair, made of carbon fibre.
"We crossed the Atlantic Ocean more than 25 years ago to make our way in the Latin American market, with which we share language and culture. Now it's time to do the same with its North American neighbours. It is a great challenge for us with which we hope to contribute all our knowledge in designing products with a Mediterranean essence, our production values, European design and the new trends in finishes and materials that turn furniture into a well-being tool", explained the Consultant and Brand Reputation Director at Actiu, Soledat Berbegal.
For three days, on the seventh floor of The Mart building, Actiu presented all its furniture proposals for workspaces and contract facilities aimed at the well-being of users. "We have received a great response from the professional public, eager to learn about European proposals and our solutions for new workspaces", she explained.
So much so that after the second day of the fair the firm organised the presentation of "Actiu Unlimited" (the new brand of the company) under the title 'Hola Future! Innovations and International Successes made in Spain' which was attended by around a hundred people. Here, it was possible to find out more about Karbon, a piece of industrial, avant-garde and iconic art that is the result of two years of collaboration with the design studio ITEM designworks and that has recently been awarded a Red Dot Product Design 2019. "Coming to this fair for the first time and daring to do an event of this magnitude has been a great challenge and with a fantastic result", Berbegal explained.
In addition, the company showed how it is achieving its own Well certification, in which it is in the process of obtaining. Actiu shows how it applies the strictest standards to ensure the well-being of its workers. "There are many companies that sell the benefits of Well but do not apply it in their home, we are working to achieve this, in the same way that we did previously with Leed Platinum in our Technology Park. They are two major American certifications in the European sector, and which we have connected with their values from day one, which allows us to speak the same language".
