Polyteia, agile and constantly on the move

Offices

Objective

Polyteia, the German public administration founded by Faruk Tuncer, needed to change its workspace from a coworking space in Lobeckstraße to its own office where it could grow and accommodate as many workstations as possible.

The new office had to respond to a young team, composed of 32 employees of an average age of 28, who demanded a flexible and dynamic environment, where corners for concentrated and silent work coexisted with more collaborative and meeting areas.

Following an initial meeting with the client, in which Colobo assessed the needs of the Polyteia team and drew up a design plan, Actiu developed three proposals for the configuration of the space.

Solution

Located in the Kreutzberg district, the new offices respond to the work philosophy of a very agile, dynamic and flexible company in terms of hierarchies and timetables. An open-plan space with an open kitchen and communal area, fixed and flexible workstations and three separate meeting rooms with glass partitions.

The original floor plan is preserved, except for the installation of glass partitions for the meeting rooms and a slatted box in front of the toilets to provide privacy; and the electrical and lighting systems are designed with the layout of the furniture in mind.

In line with the young and constantly moving character of the team, Actiu provided ergonomic furniture, making it easy to change the layout, avoiding sedentary lifestyles and promoting a healthier lifestyle. These proposals combine high technical performance with carefully designed aesthetics, interspersed with plants that connect the pace with nature and enhance well-being.
