mobility and versatility
Innovation, efficiency and well-being. These are the premises behind the new Valencia offices of the company CBRE. However, they are also the values that permeate all the property and interior design projects that this international property consultancy takes on.
A vertical garden - a brand trademark - welcomes visitors to these 600 square metres of offices inspired by the Mediterranean aesthetic and the ambience of the Valencian beaches. Facilities which are located in the heart of the business district of the city of the Turia, on calle Joaquín Sorolla, and which, along with the renewal of the site, have included the total redesign of the building's facade.
Wood that evokes beach huts, neutral tones, wicker swings that hang from the ceiling and even a boat that seems to have come from a painting by Joaquín Sorolla bring personality and warmth to this space, home to some thirty work stations.
Innovative work spaces which foster efficiency, teamwork, personal relationships and which contribute to achieving the company's objectives. These are the principles which CBRE applies in each and every one of its projects and which are also manifested in their own offices in the centre of Valencia. A philosophy which has earned the company the Great Place to Work label for the second time.
Their multidisciplinary team approaches each project in an integral manner: researching thoroughly the work of the company, developing an action plan, implementing and supervising the result.
The configuration of space and work in CBRE reflects their open, dynamic and flexible view of offices. Each morning upon arrival, the members of their team go to their individual locker where they they store their laptop, documents and personal effects. They then each choose their work station for that particular day, connecting their laptop to the corresponding monitor, depending on the tasks and the project they plan to work on.
The monitors in this open space are positioned on Prisma work tables from Actiu with TNK 500 chairs. A table with minimalist lines which promotes order and with a complex and compact structure, and chairs that combine functional and technological details with a timeless and elegant design. Awarded the Red Dot Product Design Prize, the TNK 500 office chairs employ advanced materials so as to ensure comfort.
The flexibility that CBRE brings to individual work within a large open space is complemented by glazed areas for holding meetings or telephone conversations and which is available to all team members. A lounge seating area which maintains the beach vibe of the environment as a whole, favours comfort and informal meetings.
Promoting personal relationships among employees creates team spirit and opens the door to new collaborations and ideas. This is the idea behind the space set aside for coffee and lunchtime, where a large wooden table becomes the centrepiece for breaks, with access to the sunroom, equipped with a barbecue, which accommodates all kinds of relaxed and informal moments.
Two multipurpose rooms in the entrance area evince the dynamism of the space as a whole and the interior design concept championed by CBRE. Collapsible walls mean these two rooms can be converted into a larger space and the folding tables - like the Trama model from Actiu - mean the area can be reconfigured in a just a few minutes and set up to suit all kinds of occasions: meetings with clients, training courses, meetings with the team…
The fact that the tables are foldable means they can be moved around, enabling you to transform the space they occupy. What's more, they are height-adjustable, facilitating a dynamic and ergonomic access to the work station.
A commitment to movement, versatility and flexibility in daily tasks that translates into the interior design and the choice of furniture that prioritises well-being and creativity, based on an innovative approach to work and interactions in the space in which they take place.
